The intriguing question of whether these quilts were divided to protect them from adversaries or if they salvaged parts of damaged quilts inspired her. The collection's namesake, Dinah Crisler Carpenter (1762-1836), emerges as her fifth-generation removed great-grandmother. A Culpeper County, Virginia native, Dinah's life intertwined with Samuel Carpenter, a Revolutionary War veteran, and mother of fourteen. Dinah's Dilemma rekindles the antique quilt's enchantment, while Gentleness embodies the colonial era of a reverend's wife. This collection's exquisite prints serve as an inspirational canvas for your own quilted storytelling journey.
